WORLD D WORDS
Privacy
A quiet note on what this Archive keeps, and what it leaves alone.
The Archive
WORLD D WORDS is a Digital Archive of moments, thoughts, photographs, memories, and small pieces of writing, kept at worlddwords.in.
Two doors
Opening the Archive and speaking in it are not the same thing.
The Archive opens with a date. That entry is remembered only as a short-lived session on this browser. It does not create a commenter identity, and it does not make anyone an admin.
A commenter identity exists only for leaving comments. An email address, Google sign-in, or a User PIN never unlocks the Archive and never grants an admin role.
What is kept
The date entered at the door is checked and is not stored as a profile.
If you create a commenter identity, the Archive keeps the email address you use, the username assigned to you, and whether that identity is still waiting or already active. The User PIN is not stored in a form that can be read back.
If you continue with Google, Google shares the account details needed to recognize you. Those details may include your email address and, when Google provides them, your name and profile picture. They are used only to keep your commenter identity on WORLD D WORDS. They are not sold, and they are not used for advertising.
Google authorization is used only to enable secure User PIN email delivery from the WORLD D WORDS sender account. WORLD D WORDS does not read users’ Gmail inboxes.
Comments and replies are stored with the name shown beside them, the text, the time, and the identity they belong to.
Sessions
One cookie remembers that the Archive is open. Another, separate cookie can remember a commenter session. The commenter cookie cannot open the Archive.
Google or email sign-in may also leave the cookies that sign-in requires. Those cookies do not, by themselves, open the Archive.
Care of the words
The keeper of the Archive can edit or remove comments, including replies. You can edit or remove comments that belong to you.
A comment remains until it is removed. A commenter identity remains while it is still part of the Archive. A session lasts only until it expires or is cleared.
